Ballet Time

Magic summer nights in St Petersburg are the best sets for ballet. Six masterpieces of classical and contemporary ballet are united by the Mikhailovsky Theatre in the festival Ballet Time.

During the Ballet Time audiences can enjoy a wonderful example of Romantic ballet — Le Corsaire, as well as two 19th century gems by the great choreographer Marius Petipa — La Bayadère and The Sleeping Beauty and a unique version of the world-famous ballet Swan Lake revived by the Mikhailovsky Theatre’s ballet master in chief Mikhail Messerer. Ballet Time also includes Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet based on the Shakespeare’s intense love story and the blockbuster of the Mikhailovsky Ballet — the ever popular Spartacus which has been compared to Hollywood films.
