Venice Tour of the Mikhailovsky Ballet
In the autumn 2008, the Mikhailovsky Ballet made its debut at the famous La Fenice in Venice. The success of the debut tour launched the tradition of autumn Venice tours of the Mikhailovsky Ballet.
In October 2009, La Fenice hosted the Mikhailovsky Ballet Company with the new production of Swan Lake by Alexander Gorsky — Asaf Messerer staged by Mikhail Messerer. The performances took place on October, 27- 31. One of the performances was attended by the mayor of Venice Massimo Cacciari. The main roles were performed by the stars of the Mikhailovsky Ballet Ekaterina Borchenko, Irina Kosheleva, Irina Perren, Mikhail Sivakov and Marat Shemiunov.
