The Mikhailovsky Theatre to perform in Hong Kong
In March 2016, the Mikhailovsky Theatre will present Nacho Duato’s production of the ballet The Sleeping Beauty at the 44th Hong Kong Arts Festival.
The Hong Kong Arts Festival, which was held for the first time in 1973, is considered one of Asia’s largest and most prestigious cultural events.
The festival’s mission is to introduce the public to the best collectives from across the world. The programme encompasses all performing arts genres, including opera, ballet, musicals, classical music concerts, plays, jazz, and circus acts.
As part of the festival, from 17 to 20 March the Mikhailovsky Theatre’s ballet company will give a total of five performances of The Sleeping Beauty under the baton of Peter Feranec. The final performance will take place on the last day of the festival.
