Japan Season of the Mikhailovsky Ballet

The Mikhailovsky Ballet started the year of 2010 in Japan. For many years the Mikhailovsky has been a complete sold-out in the country and the upcoming tour once again proves the rule: the public demand for the performances of St Petersburg company is overwhelming.

In the winter 2010, the Mikhailovsky Ballet brought the immortal classical Russian repertoire which included Swan Lake, Giselle, The Sleeping Beauty, Raymonda combined with some contemporary pieces including The Moor’s Pavane presented in the Gala Concert program. The performances of the Mikhailovsky Ballet were held in the most prestigious venues in Japan, including Tokyo Bunka Kaikan.
